Protecting Our Community, One Shot at a Time

At The Palms Pharmacy, we’re always rooted in our community and that means protecting the

health of every neighbor, from little ones heading back to school to older adults preparing for flu

season.

August is National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM), and it’s the perfect time to

make sure you and your loved ones are up to date on recommended vaccines. Staying on

schedule with immunizations is one of the easiest, most effective ways to protect yourself and

the people around you from serious illnesses.

Why Vaccines Matter

Vaccines aren’t just about protecting yourself they help protect our whole community. When

enough people are immunized, it creates herd immunity, which makes it harder for diseases to

spread. This is especially important for infants, seniors, and those with weakened immune

systems who can’t always get vaccinated.

Vaccines can prevent or reduce the severity of illnesses like:

  • Influenza (Flu)
  • COVID-19
  • Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis (Tdap/DTaP)
  • Pneumonia
  • Shingles
  • HPV
  • Hepatitis A & B
  • Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR)

Back-to-School & Back-to-Work Preparedness

August is also back-to-school season, which makes it the perfect time to review your child’s

vaccine records. Schools and daycares require certain vaccinations for enrollment, and being up to date helps keep classrooms safe.

Adults also need to keep boosters current especially Tdap, flu, and COVID-19 vaccines to

protect themselves and those they care for.

At The Palms Pharmacy, our team makes it easy:

  • No long waits
  • Friendly, supportive staff
  • Personalized vaccine counseling
  • Convenient scheduling to fit your busy life

Getting vaccinated at The Palms Pharmacy is quick, simple, and stress-free:

  1. Call or walk in to check availability
  2. Review your vaccine history with our pharmacist
  3. Receive your vaccines in a private consultation area
  4. Leave with peace of mind and your updated records

We also offer flu shots, COVID-19 boosters, and other seasonal vaccines perfect for families,

caregivers, and local businesses looking to keep their teams healthy.

Magnesium is an essential mineral involved in over 300 biochemical processes in the body, including muscle function, nerve health, energy production, and sleep regulation. However, not all magnesium supplements are created equal. Two popular forms—Magnesium L-Threonate and Magnesium Glycinate—offer distinct benefits depending on your health goals. In this blog, we’ll compare these two forms to help you determine which is best for you.
