At The Palms Pharmacy, this month is especially meaningful because it gives us an opportunity to reflect on something we believe year-round: pharmacy is about much more than filling prescriptions—it’s about caring for people.

Pharmacists are among the most accessible healthcare professionals in the community. While ensuring medications are dispensed safely and accurately is a critical part of their responsibility, their role extends far beyond the prescription bottle.

Pharmacy technicians work alongside pharmacists to help manage prescription processing, insurance issues, inventory, patient communication, medication preparation, and many of the day-to-day responsibilities necessary to keep a pharmacy operating safely and efficiently.

Their work may often happen behind the scenes, but their impact is felt throughout the entire patient experience.
